Upcoming COTI V2 Mainnet Upgrade!
We’re pleased to share that tomorrow, September 17, 2025, COTI V2 will undergo a planned mainnet upgrade. The upgrade introduces meaningful improvements to the protocol. It is a key step in strengthening the network and preparing for a hard fork coming in October. This upgrade has already been successfully deployed on testnet, where it has been running smoothly with no issues.
During the upgrade window, the network will briefly pause for a few minutes. Once the process is complete, operations will automatically resume, and the network will continue as normal. There is no action required from you! Your funds and tokens will remain completely safe throughout the process.
For node runners, however, this is an important milestone. All nodes will need to be upgraded to the latest software release. We’ll be sharing detailed upgrade instructions in the coming days to make the transition smooth and straightforward.

Version 1.1.4 introduces a series of refinements across both MPC and gcEVM. These changes address key findings from the Hacken audit and improve stability, security, and maintainability. Updates include:

- Improved randomness for cryptographic functions
- More resilient connection handling
- Enhanced protection for in-memory secrets.
