The COTI Treasury was deployed four months ago and since then we have seen thousands of deposits into it. The community has been asking for more statistics about deposits and rewards. We have listened to your requests and are happy to share some current stats. At the time of writing, COTI’s current Treasury balance is 434,042,676.09 $COTI and the max APY is 46.55%.
COTI’s Treasury is an algorithmic pool of $COTI that enables users to deposit $COTI and get token rewards for their participation. Users can deposit and top-up active deposits with additional $COTI at any given time. Deposits earn an APY in the form of Treasury rewards based on the deposit multiplier (e.g. x1, x2, x3, x4) and the lock period (e.g. Unlocked, 30, 60, 90, 120 days).
Here are some interesting stats about the Treasury:
- Total liquidation events: 877 (Liquidated deposits are transferred to the Treasury and distributed in a form of Treasury rewards between all active deposits)
- Total rewards distributed: 22.11M $COTI
- Claimed Rewards: 10,536,231 $COTI
- Total active deposits: 13,064
- About 70% of total deposits are locked for 120 days.
- About 40% of the total x4 multiplier deposits are locked for 120 days.
- About 12% of the total 60 days locked deposits have a x2 multiplier.
We are currently updating the COTI Pay VIPER iOS mobile application with the Treasury feature. We have submitted the updates to Apple and we are waiting for them to be reviewed. Parallel to this, we are developing a system for automated reward distribution in the Treasury.
After launching MultiDAG 2.0 we will also issue the Treasury’s Governance Token. The governance token will allow its holders to participate in the governance of the treasury protocol while rewarding its holders for their participation. The governance token will be distributed to the Treasury’s users and to users that continuously contribute to the growth of the COTI network, the COTI community, and the COTI Treasury.
