With just weeks to go until COTI Mainnet launches, we’re pleased to say that everything is on track and we’re making good progress in a number of key areas. In this update, we’ll take a look at:

  • Testnet activity metrics
  • Stress testing
  • Token upgrade and airdrop
  • Hacken audit progress

Testnet Activity

COTI’s Enhanced Testnet is proving popular with developers, who have been busy deploying contracts and testing their dApps following the recent reset.

In the last nine days, since the latest Testnet upgrade on March 4, we have seen:

  • 1.1m transactions (includes stress testing)
  • 7k contract deployments
  • Over 200 new downloads of COTI packages and SDKs

Stress Testing

We’re putting the enhanced Testnet through its paces to ensure it can handle the rigors of real-world use. At this point, our stress tests have demonstrated that the network is capable of handling enough transaction volume to support a vibrant Web3 ecosystem from day 1. Everything remains stable, and we will be repeating our tests with increasing loads in the coming days.

We aim to determine a realistic benchmark for transactions per second (TPS) which we plan to publish. Stay tuned for updates.

Token Upgrades and Airdrop

We continue to make progress in setting up the infrastructure needed for the token upgrade from balances held on the COTI V1 platform. We’re working to ensure that token upgrades can take place smoothly upon Mainnet launch.

We’re also preparing the Token Generation Event (TGE) for the new COTI token and making sure that we’re ready to distribute rewards to all those who participated in the airdrop campaign. This will happen as soon as possible following Mainnet launch.

It has been just under one year since the COTI Airdrop campaign went live. As you may be aware, the campaign rewards all COTI Treasury participants with a share of a 55 million $COTI rewards pool. Rewards are calculated based on the duration that deposits remain in the Treasury without being withdrawn, the total APY, and the fees contributed to the Treasury.

Prepare for Mainnet Upgrade, Submit your MetaMask Address

Any users who are holding COTI tokens in the Treasury are reminded to log into their VIPER wallet and link their MetaMask address. This is required for us to upgrade balances to COTI V2 when Mainnet is live. Find out more about this and the upcoming Mainnet here.

Hacken Audit

In our Last tech update we reported that our auditor and ecosystem partner, Hacken, had found no major issues with our network. We’re pleased to report that over the past week there have been no adverse findings. This means we’re still on schedule for launch at the end of March. The whole audit is scheduled to conclude in the w/c March 24.

That’s all for now — stay COTI!
