This week we’ll continue to introduce our team, new and old, for you to get to know them better. In this week’s edition, we sat down with Yair Saban, one of our Backend Developer. We asked Yair five questions to get to know him better, check it out:

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into Crypto?

I got involved with Crypto about two years ago, and since then, I have carried out extensive research about the space. I got involved with some projects that fuelled my passion for the industry and knew this was the industry I wanted to pursue my career as a developer in.

What attracted you to COTI?

The Proof of Trust consensus mechanism was what initially attracted me to COTI. And the more I learnt about the technology that drives COTI’s protocol, the more I wanted to be a part of the team. I strongly believe that in the near future these strengths of COTI will be a huge comparative advantage in the crypto market. Besides, working with COTI gave me the opportunity to further explore my potential as a developer, and I love what I’m doing.

What do you hope to improve from within COTI’s Backend Development department?

The last project I worked on was Bridge 2.0 and I’m really happy with the outcome which you will also be able to access in the near future. Our focus is now on the successful launch of the MultiDAG 2.0 on Mainnet, however, we will also continue to research all sorts of technical developments and improvements.

Presently, I’m focused on the scalability of some of the applications we built. I’m breaking the apps into microservices, optimizing our database queries and implementing indexing strategies. By improving the scalability of the apps, we enable them to reach many people in the fastest and most efficient way possible.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

I love sea sports like water skiing and scuba diving.

Can you describe yourself in 3 emojis?

😎🤙🏻👨‍🍼
