Introducing the gCOTI Community Campaign!

While the first two phases of the gCOTI Airdrop Campaign have focused on locking assets and being rewarded with gCOTI, this next phase is all about giving back to our community that has supported us, both past and present. In this campaign, community members will be rewarded for creating and sharing content, participating in competitions and helping spread the word.

The gCOTI Community Campaign is also a great way for those who have missed out the previous phases of the campaign to receive some gCOTI, and for those who already participated to share in some additional gCOTI rewards.

Here’s how you can get involved!

How Will It Work?

COTI will host a series of social media-based content competitions in which community members are rewarded for the creation and sharing of unique, informative, and engaging content. Divided into two categories, easy and difficult, there is an opportunity for everyone to get involved. 1st prize in the difficult category will be an amount of 50K gCOTI, and the 1st prize in the easier category will be an amount of 25K gCOTI.

Members that support this campaign by sharing it on social media via a Gleam campaign will also get the chance to be rewarded with 2,000 gCOTI for spreading the word.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our creative community members, tool builders, and videographers to really showcase their talents and get rewarded in gCOTI for their efforts!

Participants will be judged based on originality, quality, creativity, comprehensiveness, and their contribution to the COTI ecosystem.

Who Will Judge the Campaign?

As we see it, this campaign is all about the community, and as such, we won’t be the ones to judge it. Instead, a panel of 12 members of the COTI community will judge on our behalf. Of the 12, we’ve pre-selected 11 respected members of the community who regularly contribute to the COTI ecosystem to judge on the panel. Judges will review each content entry and vote for the winners. They will also be on hand to answer community questions, and will help to spread the word about the campaign. In return for their service on the panel, judges will also receive a gCOTI reward.

In addition to the pre-selected panel, we have allocated one final slot for a community member that would like to be part of the judging panel. This member will ideally be someone that actively contributes to COTI’s ecosystem and is passionate about growing the community.

In order to serve on the Community Campaign Panel of Judges, submit your application proposal here. All applications must be submitted by June 20, at 1pm UTC. Please note that the selected judge is required to have a VIPER wallet.

The selection of the new judge will be conducted through a draw, and announced on June 21.

To ensure fairness and prevent any bias or dual rewards, judges will not be able to participate in the campaign as content creators.

You are probably familiar with them already, but let’s meet the panel of members that will be judging the gCOTI Community Campaign!

When Does the Campaign Start?

We will announce the beginning of the competition in the next few weeks, with more details to be shared after the new judge is announced.

Please note that both judges and competitors are required to have a VIPER wallet in order to take part.

Participants of the Community Campaign will receive their Native gCOTI rewards airdropped to their VIPER Wallets.

Additional Rewards for COTI’s Past Contributors

In addition to the content competition, we have also decided to reward valued members of the COTI community that have supported us in the past. This includes community members who have been active on various social media platforms such as Twitter, Telegram and Discord, members that have developed bots, tools and websites, as well as our many Testnet and Mainnet node operators.

We’ll share more details on the rewards and eligibility criteria at a later stage.

The gCOTI Community Campaign is our way of giving back to the COTI community for creating content, spreading the word and supporting us.
