How to Buy Your .coti ZNS Name and Create a Web3 Bio
Navigate to https://zns.bio/ and connect your wallet using the Connect button at the top right of the page.
Select MetaMask from the list of options. You’ll be prompted to sign a message to verify you’re the owner of the account.
Click Sign Message, and Confirm in the MetaMask popup. This step will not cost you any gas fees.
Next, look for your preferred domain name using the search box. Start typing and you’ll see a list of domains for different networks. Scroll down to find .coti. Here, you’ll be able to see if your chosen domain is available.
Select the one you want — here, we’re searching for capybara.coti.
You will see the price in COTI tokens. Choose the number of years you want to register the domain for. When you are ready to proceed, click Add to cart.
Next, navigate to the cart icon at the top right hand of the screen.
You’ll need to make sure you have enough COTI and/or credits in your wallet. When you’re ready, click Complete Purchase and confirm the transaction in MetaMask.
That’s it — the domain is yours! You’ll now see your domains, with expiry dates and the address that registered them. Take a look at the top right hand of the screen — your hash-based address will have changed to your new .coti address! If you have multiple .coti addresses you can choose which domain to display in your wallet.
Creating Web3 Bios
Now it’s time to create your Web3 profile using ZNS’s bio service. You can add custom information to your domain so others can find and connect with you.
Click Edit for the domain in question, enter your info in the Manage Profile popup, then hit Save Changes.
Use the Links and Domains tabs to add additional information.
Links tab: Add social links, including for X, Telegram, LinkedIn, and Discord.
Domains tab: Manage your domain by setting it as your Primary (default) domain, renewing it, transferring it to another wallet, or even selling it on the ZNS marketplace.
Once you’ve closed the window, you’ll see your profile has been updated with your saved changes. Here you can update your profile picture and banner — just as you would on an X profile.
Now you are free to share your profile with other Web3 users. You can also Mint your Human Identity Pass (HIP) and start verifying your social accounts to increase your reputation score.
