gCOTI Airdrop Campaign Update

The first phase of the gCOTI Airdrop Campaign has been a resounding success so far. To date, more than 319M $COTI has been deposited into the campaign, 263M of which was deposited in the first 24 hours alone.

As previously announced, we allocated a cap of 50M $COTI for the early bird bonus, an amount that was reached in less than 1 minute! 78 participants were notified that they were eligible for the early bird bonus at the time.

After listening to feedback from our community, we have carefully reviewed the campaign logs and have concluded that an additional 167 users were also entitled to a share of the early bird bonus. To be fair with everyone, we have extended the early bird total bonus to 2M $gCOTI as well as increased the gCOTI allocation for the Native campaign from 55M to 56M (at the expense of the 5 year distribution allocation).

With expectations of high demand for the ERC20 campaign, we’ve made the decision to postpone the ERC20 campaign by one week to April 24th and better prepare our systems. Holders of COTI ERC20, USDC and USDT will be able to lock their assets into the Treasury from the 24th of April until the 8th of May.

No other details will change, the full amount of 30M gCOTI will still be available for people that participate. The Native gCOTI campaign that’s currently underway will still end on the 17th of April as planned.
