Crafter Is Live On COTI Mainnet
Crafter, the no-code smart contract platform, is live on COTI Mainnet!
Launched on Day 1, Crafter is already gaining momentum as users mint the very first NFTs on COTI. But this is just the beginning of a more comprehensive offering that will let anyone build and deploy a wide array of smart contracts with ease, including RWAs, whilst leveraging COTI’s garbled circuits to maintain compliant confidentiality.
Crafter: Private NFTs and Much More
Crafter is a “home grown” project that started life in the COTI community. Its founders are long-term supporters that have now embraced COTI’s privacy technology for Crafter NFT contracts, deploying encrypted URIs that ensure any attached attributes or metadata stay confidential.
Crafter streamlines the process of launching smart contracts on the COTI network. With just a few clicks, users can upload an image to create a single NFT, which can be sent directly to friends or shared via a minting link. It’s also possible to upload an entire collection of artworks with corresponding metadata, configure parameters such as the minting start date, and receive a custom smart contract tailored to the collection!

On-Chain Engagement for Crafter
At the time of writing, Crafter is already one of the top drivers of transactions on COTI, with 65 smart contracts deployed, over 3,500 NFTs minted, more than 200 “Crafter x COTI” NFTs distributed to the community, and over 100 collection drafts and single NFTs created using the platform!
It should come as no surprise that Crafter has proven a hit with the community, with users flocking to mint NFTs. Crafter themselves are behind the first NFT collection on the COTI network: a celebratory collection of 3,333 NFTs, which will give holders whitelist access to a much-anticipated forthcoming mint. Crafter Expands to Confidential RWA’s
More recently, Crafter has developed a proof-of-concept for a Real-World Asset (RWA) that linked a real hat to an NFT using an embedded NFC chip — and of course COTI’s Privacy-on-Demand technology, to prove ownership and provenance!
Users can tap the chip to verify the items authenticity and see the ownership NFT on the COTI Mainnet. The NFT includes publicly-visible metadata such as proof of provenance, while additional data remains confidential. Using COTI’s garbled circuits, the hat’s ownership data can be proven without revealing any sensitive information about the asset or its holder.
This marks an exciting milestone in Crafter’s journey to bring COTI’s privacy tech to real-world use cases. While the system is not yet publicly available, Crafter will be offering the hat as a prize, so stay tuned to take part.
What’s Coming Next For Crafter
The team has big plans in the pipeline. In addition to building out their NFT ecosystem, in the coming months they intend to deploy a wide range of smart contracts, offering a straightforward way to launch ERC20 tokens, encrypted vaults, and much more.
In addition, they will be actively exploring how their RWA system could be applied to the world of art, enabling artists and collectors to authenticate physical works while preserving privacy and provenance on-chain.
